access all the ranking in the link below.
From the given figure it can be seen that IISc performs the
best in terms of Research and Professional Practice (RPC) with a score of
89.24. It is also important to notice that none of the central universities
made it to the top five in terms of performance in RPC. Jamia Millia Islamia
scored 32.04 in RPC the least of all the top 20 universities. JNU performed
very lowly 41.85 in RPC
On the basis of Outreach and Inclusivity (OI) JNU performed the best with the score of 75.87. The least was scored by Jadavpur University with a score of 44.95. In OI the top institutes with better RPC did not perform well. Top Institute like IISc scored 48.47 only, similarly IIT Bombay scored only 50.68. However, the baton of light was held by IIT Madras with a RPC score of 83.53 and an OIC score of 66.08.
Despite of the fact that they are not in top 20 overall, they play a major role in shaping the scientific research in India hence it is also important to analyse the performance of IISERs. The 4 IISER’s in the top 100 list are IISER Pune, Bhopal, Kolkata and Mohali.
It is quite clear from the chart that IISER Pune and IISER Kolkata are leading in terms of research or RPC with a score of 42.05 and 41.21 respectively. However, in terms of OI IISER Mohali is doing way better than a lot of institutions with a score of 70.98. IISER Kolkata scored the least score of 55.69 amongst all the IISERs in top 100 of overall universities.
